LOTD for February 12

We have a measles outbreak in San Diego…now we are at 10 kids with a couple of schools and a day care all exposed to the virus. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that the outbreak is centered around one school in Linda Vista that had the lowest rate of immunization to the measles. Now Pacific Beach kids are getting it too:

It is sad that Florida has such a problem with elections. In 2006 their electronic voting machines failed to count 18,000 ballots in a congressional race…and the Democratic candidate lost by 369 votes! What is even more disturbing to me is that they do not know what went wrong, so they haven’t been able to fix the problem:
