The Bush Administration is considering accelerating the US troop withdrawal from Iraq and sending a lot of those troops to Afghanistan…kind of what Obama has been proposing for awhile:

It is absolutely amazing that Southwest has $2 per gallon fuel costs while its competitors are paying over $4 per gallon…and Southwest will have this HUGE economic edge until 2011! They are talking about using this advantage to expand their service, even to Hawaii!

A law in Japan requires all companies and local governments to measure the waistline of Japanese people between the ages of 40 and 74 as part of their annual checkups. The waistline thresholds are set at 33.5 inches for men and 35.4 inches for women, and those over the limit have to get dieting guidance and then re-education if they do not slim down. This type of rule could NOT happen in the US!
